Cybersecurity engineering – overview
3-hour online course that provides a technical introduction to cybersecurity. Learn about attacks and incidents, protection mechanisms and encryption. If you have worked with functional safety before, this is an advantage.
This is an overview course focusing on the technical aspects of cybersecurity. The course starts with an introduction to terminology, the meaning of cybersecurity and its relation to functional safety. You will learn about attacks and incidents and how they relate to each other. Furthermore, we go through how to identify attacks, how to make an attack analysis, how encryption works, about the different elements involved, and principles for creating cybersecure systems.
Aim of the course
The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the field of cybersecurity and an understanding of the basic concepts of secure systems.
Target group
The course is designed for those who need a technical introduction to cybersecurity and want to understand basic concepts and principles. You can be an engineer, project manager, manager or equivalent.
Prerequisites
None, but it is an advantage if you have worked in functional safety.
Language
The course material is in English, the course is held in Swedish or English (as agreed with the participants).

Additional Information
In case of fewer than three registered participants, the course may be cancelled. This will be communicated at least one week before the course date. Pierre Kleberger
Phd, RISE
Pierre Kleberger (Phd) är forskare inom pålitliga transportsystem på RISE. Hans forskningsintressen är cybersäkerhet och samspelet mellan funktionssäkerhet och cybersäkerhet. Pierre har arbetat med cybersäkerhet inom fordon sedan 2009. Pierre är också medlem i den svenska arbetsgruppen SIS/TK240/AG11 som fokuserar på standardisering av cybersäkerhet för fordon och har varit involverad i utvecklingen av standarden ISO/SAE 21434.
Peter Folkesson
Phd, RISE
Peter Folkesson (Phd) har över 30 års erfarenhet inom området pålitliga datorsystem. På RISE arbetar han som forskare inom detta område. Peters huvudsakliga forskningsintressen inkluderar samspelet mellan funktionssäkerhet och cybersäkerhet samt fel- och attackinjektionstekniker för verifiering och validering av funktionssäkerhet och cybersäkerhet. Han är medlem i den svenska arbetsgruppen SIS/TK240/AG11 som fokuserar på standardisering av cybersäkerhet för fordonsindustrin och har varit involverad i utvecklingen av standarden ISO/SAE 21434.
