Does hydrogen have a future in transport?
Hydrogen has long been one of the most promising alternatives to fossil fuels in the transport sector. But we still see few hydrogen vehicles on our roads. Why is this? What does the future look like? RISE experts will discuss this at a lunch webinar on 11 September. Free of charge and open to everyone!
According to the climate goals, Sweden's transport sector is to be fossil-free by 2030. To achieve this, we need to convert the vehicle fleet. Electric cars are part of the solution. Another solution is vehicles powered by hydrogen.
The advantage of using hydrogen in transport is that the technology is completely clean. The only thing that comes out of the exhaust pipe is water vapour. In addition, the range is long and refuelling is quick. So why don't we see more hydrogen vehicles on Swedish roads? What are the opportunities and barriers? What do our experts say about the future?
