Recent AI technology and its media hype raises many questions and concerns. Not least for education, examination, cheating and the school system as a whole. AI brings many opportunities and challenges, which we can best meet together.

In the spirit of the times, RISE wants to create a basic knowledge of AI, what it is capable of, and its limitations.  During this event, researchers will explain concrete and technical aspects, as well as how this affects schools, teachers and students. Together with representatives from the Swedish National Agency for Education, possible approaches and future scenarios will be discussed.

Overall schedule:

• AI training: Training session that answers questions such as: How does the technology work under the surface? How to train these AIs like ChatGPT? Can AI be trusted?
• AI in schools: Presentation and discussion on what teachers and students should know.
• Panel discussion: AI experts and representatives from the Swedish National Agency for Education discuss big and small issues.
