The Future of Food Packaging – Navigating New Demands

Food packaging must serve multiple functions, and with evolving regulations, producers are now faced with the challenge of balancing food safety, sustainability, and market demands.

The future is circular, but how can we ensure that harmful substances, or those that affect taste and smell, are not recirculated? What risk mitigations can we do? How can we ensure the microbiological safety with the use of bio-based or recycled materials? How can we replace plastics in the packaging without reducing the functions?  After having created a new product, how do consumers truly behave at the point of purchase, and how can we accurately measure their actions, not just their intentions?
