Large Fire Test Hall Borås

One of the largest large scale fire test halls in Europe. Modern smoke and water cleaning systems fulfill high environmentally sustainable requirements.

Large scale fire tests are conducted on commission by Swedish and international customers. The large test hall, size 18 x 22 x 19 meters, is unique in Sweden and one of the largest in Europe. The hall is suitable for a wide variety of different types of large-scale fire tests to study ignitability, fire development, effect of fire extinguishing systems or to make reconstructions of certain fire events.

Advanced technical equipment is measuring heat release rate up to 15 MW, fire development effects and production of smoke and toxic gases. High environmental requirements require advanced smoke and water cleaning systems. Common clients are, among others, the vehicle, ship and building industry, manufacturers of fire extinguishing systems and research stakeholders.
