Digital health for improving the quality of life
The number of hospital beds is declining at the same time as chronic diseases increase, mental illness is on the rise, and more of us is getting older. Sweden’s healthcare costs are projected to increase by 30 percent by 2050. Digitalisation and welfare-related technologies available in the field of e-health present new healthcare opportunities. In pharmaceutical development, new techniques utilising AI can be applied for precision medicine. Other solutions within e-health include portable sensors warning for the risk of falling, support apps for stress and mental illness, and digital contacts that can be managed in the comfort on one’s home while relieving the burden on healthcare facilities.
RISE offer expertise in digital technologies as well as experience in the challenges and opportunities associated with the introduction of e-health and welfare technologies. We conduct needs analyses, develop skills and lead innovation projects, and can serve as advisors in the procurement of welfare technologies.
