Contact EvaThe member program Heat treatment center for metallic materials is a center for research and development in the field of heat treatment.
RISE and Swerim together with a number of member companies run the Heat treatment center. By heat treatment is meant the "secondary" heat treatment of steel parts that take place on components that are further refined through some form of machining such as forging or metal cutting. Since the products have a high added value and are late in the production chain, it is a very important part in many manufacturing chains.
Within the membership program, R&D projects are carried out with a focus on the impact of the design, the material and the process on the performance, lead time and costs of heat-treated products and with the aim of reducing energy consumption and emissions. The principle processes are case hardening, deep hardening, induction hardening and nitriding/nitrocarburizing, as well as related pre- and post-treatments.
As a member in Heat treatment center you will recieve:
We also run the network Heat treatment forum, where you easily can monitor the field of heat treatment in the world and see information about what is happening in the area in Sweden and internationally. As a member of the network Heat treatment forum you will get:
A newsletter, including Noterat Utifrån, which is published every quarter
Invitation to seminars and study visits
