Contact ShivaFacing the challenges of sustainability and rapid digitalization, traditional data collection methods are falling short. Serious games emerge as an innovative tool capable of capturing human behavior in real-world scenarios. They can reshape transport policies and technologies and inspire society-wide shifts towards sustainable mobility.
Our project begins with a simple yet profound idea: to explore the untapped potential of serious games for data collection within transportation systems.
The digital and complex nature of today’s transportation systems often makes traditional data collection methods, such as surveys, experiments and simulations, often fall short in addressing the evolving challenges of sustainability and digitalization. The need is clear: innovative data collection strategies. Here comes serious games. They provide immersive platforms that enable us to gain insights into travelers' choices.
By leveraging serious games, we aim to enhance data collection significantly. Moreover, through this data collection approach, we aim to inform the public about the essence of sustainable transportation. This project supports shaping transportation policies and technologies that are deeply influenced by real-world user behavior while raising public awareness about sustainability.
