Microlearning in video format

In an ever-changing world, the need for skills development is increasing. Which gives rise to an increased need to review how we today learn in the best way. And which learning formats are best suited for both individuals and for the nature of new knowledge.

A learning format and a form of learning that has become increasingly common is so-called Microlearning. A learning that involves fast knowledge transfer in a delimited, convenient and accessible format. A learning that, according to theories, could increase the effects of learning, contribute to increased motivation and commitment and may be seen as a complement to traditional forms of learning.

The starting point for this project is to take a closer look at microlearning as a learning activity with a specific focus on video as a medium.

  • What does the research say about microlearning as a learning activity?
  • What does the research eay say about the format video as a medium for microlearning?

The delivery in this project will consist of a research overview of international studies and what research say about microlearning and video as a format.
