Network Micromobility

New mobility services can contribute to the transition to a climate-smart society but require adaptations and new norms.

Micromobility stands out as a prime example of a burgeoning mobility service that has successfully gained widespread adoption globally, including in Sweden, all within a remarkably brief five-year span. The Network Micromobility project is currently advancing, forging collaborations with operators, authorities, municipalities, and other stakeholders to establish an effective micromobility system. During this phase, the Network will intensify its focus on urban planning and the monitoring of various measures. The aim is to enhance the utilization of existing cycling infrastructure through initiatives such as digitization, contributing to a safer and more sustainable transportation system.

This project builds upon the foundation laid by the previous project, identified as 2022-03072 Network Micromobility, boasting an established network comprising over 90 individuals representing operators, municipalities, authorities, and more.

Within the project's framework, quarterly round table discussions (alternating physical and digital meetings) will be conducted. The project's methodology holds the potential to serve as a model for system innovations within complex contexts. Real-world experiments, coupled with inspiration, competence development, and the dissemination of successful working methods and solutions, will collectively contribute to the project's objectives.
