Realization of electrical resistance in alternating current

The project has developed measurement systems and graphene samples for the realization of electrical resistance in alternating current and impedance using the Quantum Hall Effect. Using the new methods the calibration of standards for AC resistance, capacitance and inductance can be improved.

The project has laid the foundation for a future full-scale impedance calibration operation based only on natural constants via the Quantum Hall Effect. We have produced graphene samples adapted for alternating current, designed and constructed a measuring probe and sample holder and carried out comparison measurements. The measurement results are comparable with other laboratories.

This gives us the opportunity to establish ourselves in the field and paves the way for more research collaborations concerning alternating current measurements with graphene. The measurement uncertainty will be further improved in future projects.
