Strengthening smart specialisation by fostering transnational cooperation
GoSmart&Excel BSR is implemented with the support from the European Regional Development Fund within Interreg BSR Programme 2014-2020. From April 2021 to December 2021 the project unites 10 partners from 8 countries, and it aims to foster effective cooperation in a transnational approach between the industry, R&D sector and public authorities.
The GoSmart&Excel BSR is fully integrated within the S3 approach and aims to foster effective cooperation in transnational approach between the industry, R&D sector and public authorities. It is an extension of the previous “GoSmart BSR” project and strengthens the utilisation of key outcomes of the project. It allows practical application of Transnational S3 methodology and Transnational Innovation Brokerage System (TIBS) based on joint evaluation and sustainability planning by the PPs. The main outputs of the regular project used for this extension stage are:
- Methodology for Transnational Smart Specialisation Strategy;
- Transnational Innovation Brokerage System (TIBS).
Objectives: The project’s goal is to enhance the capacity of innovation actors in the Baltic Sea Region (and beyond) to practically and jointly apply the Smart Specialisation Strategy approach.
Activities
- Develop Transnational S3 document for the BSR, based on a jointly applied methodology (under the GoSmart BSR project).
- Establish functioning, expanding, and sustainable Transnational Innovation Brokerage System in the Baltic Sea Region.
- Communicate project activities and results to stakeholders, local community.
