Contact JonasThe need for new infrastructure in the ground is increasing. Using the RISE test bed, you can calculate the material life and need for corrosion protection and maintenance for pilings, pylons, sheet walls, water and gas pipes that are subject to corrosion in the soil. We offer real-world testing, in five locations in the country with different soil
RISE test bed offers the opportunity to investigate how different materials corrode in different types of soil under different conditions. Furthermore, the effect of different types of corrosion protection systems can be evaluated.
RISE test sites have been selected to represent some of the more common soil characteristics in Sweden and may be applicable to other countries.
Each site offers the possibility to expose samples both above and below the ground water level. They also offer the possibility to expose in different types of back-fill.
As soil is a heterogenous and complex medium which can vary greatly not only vertically and horizontally, but also over time, it can be difficult to simulate soil at a laboratory scale. Furthermore, as most of the structures placed in soil are quite large, the heterogeneity of the soil needs to be included in the exposure to give the full picture.
RISE is also looking for new test sites to expand our testing opportunities to new environments.
RISE test bed gives you access to RISE equipment and our combined expertise. The test bed will give your company answers to questions related to:
