Mattias is a Senior Researcher at RISE SICS focusing on the intersection between physical and digital materials and materiality as part of Interaction Design and Human Computer Interaction. The work ranges from investigating how everyday practices can inform the creation of stronger concepts in Interaction Design to critically reflecting upon emerging challenges and attitudes in our society. Interests in methodology development in this area concerns research through design (and engineering), design fiction, taking things apart and inspirational bits. Current topics include interaction design for change with a particular focus on citizens, health and environmental challenges.
