Contact RobertArticle 11 of the Drinking Water Directive affects everyone working with ordering, manufacturing, or development of materials that come into contact with drinking water. This course provides both knowledge and practical tools to manage and implement the new requirements in your organization. The course is led by experienced experts from RISE.
Please note that this course is only offered in Swedish.
In the EU's Drinking Water Directive, (EU) 2020/2184, Article 11 regulates the hygienic minimum requirements for materials in contact with drinking water, introducing new obligations that impact everyone working with drinking water supply.
RISE has broad expertise in the water sector and works with both public and private entities to ensure compliance and a secure water supply. Here, you can learn more about what we do at RISE related to the Drinking Water Directive.
The overall goal of the course is to provide you with in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements and guidelines for materials in contact with drinking water outlined in Article 11. The session will include several interactive exercises, and participants will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences with each other. The training consists of three modules:
In the first part, we will go over the new requirements and analyze how they affect various actors in the supply chain. We will examine the specific requirements and standards in Article 11 together. Our experts will explain how the new requirements impact different operations within the water supply sector, and we will discuss any challenges and opportunities that arise during the implementation of Article 11.
In the second part, you will learn how to apply the new guidelines in practice. You will identify and analyze the changes and adjustments needed in your operations and create an implementation plan for your organization. Our experts will provide guidance and answer questions, clarifying details from the directive. However, they will not provide specific plans for how each participant’s organization should implement the requirements.
In the third part, we will explore strategies for communicating the requirements to stakeholders in order to meet the Drinking Water Directive. You will learn how to inform and communicate with stakeholders, such as suppliers and clients, about the new requirements and guidelines. You will also learn how to set the right requirements for subcontractors to facilitate compliance with Article 11. Finally, we will discuss how to collaborate with other actors in the water supply sector to create conditions for a holistic view and knowledge exchange.
This course is aimed at individuals working in the public or private sector with the ordering, manufacturing, or development of products made from materials in contact with drinking water. You may work as a purchaser, project manager, product developer, or be responsible for testing and certification, but you could also have another role.
The course is led by experienced experts from RISE in the field, offering participants the opportunity to engage in discussions and Q&A sessions.
