Hydrogen course 2025

Do not miss out on getting a very good knowledge base in the field of hydrogen. We have put together a training offer of three courses. All courses are stand-alone and you can choose to take them all as a package or choose the one(s) that suit you.

Course 1: Hydrogen safety

This course is for those who are starting or already working with hydrogen and provides knowledge on what is required to handle it safely. After completing the course, you will know the risks of handling and how to prevent them. The course aims to create an awareness of the prerequisites but also highlight hidden risks and opportunities.

Course content:

  • The scope of hydrogen safety
  • Basic security terminology
  • Thermal effects
  • Hydrogen properties and the related hazards
  • Hazards related to the different hydrogen storage techniques
  • Basics of hydrogen release

Time: March 19 at 9-11.30 CET
For whom? Those working in an area where hydrogen is used. Engineers and technicians commissioning a hydrogen system. Health and Safety Officers who are designing safety procedures. The course is held in English.
Course leaders: Paul Adams, researcher

Course 2: Hydrogen production, storage

This course provides an introduction to the electrochemical production of hydrogen by electrolysis, including its system components such as compressors, pressurised hydrogen storage, liquid hydrogen and distribution. The course is aimed at those who are starting or have already started working with hydrogen technology.

Course content:

  • The electrolyser and its history
  • Electrolysis technologies and their systems
  • Compression and storage of hydrogen
  • Liquefaction and storage of liquid hydrogen
  • Distribution of hydrogen gas/hydrogen

Time: March 27 at 9-12 CET
For whom? Those who will or have already started working with hydrogen technology. This course is held in Swedish.
Course leader: Anders Lundblad, researcher

Course 3: Hydrogen use in transportation

The course mainly deals with the fuel cell and its systems in vehicles, but also touches on the internal combustion engine alternative. Examples of applications on land, at sea and in aviation are discussed. The course is aimed at those who are starting or have already started working with hydrogen technology.

  • The fuel cell as a concept and its history
  • Fuel cell technologies and their systems
  • Hydrogen in internal combustion engines
  • Examples of applications in different vehicles and craft

Time: April 10 at 9-12 CET
For whom? Those who will or have already started working with hydrogen technology. This course is held in Swedish.
Course leader:  Anders Lundblad, researcher
