Contact LenaThe online course is slightly shortened compared to the course we usually hold in Borås and is now fully adapted for participation at your own computer. The physical course in Borås will be held both in the spring and autumn of 2024.
The course will be conducted over three half-days, mornings from 08:30 to 12:00, in the same way as the appreciated course last year. Of course, it will be held "live" with many opportunities for questions and discussions, and naturally, with several breaks. Additionally, we will provide opportunities for question and discussion sessions in the afternoons of days two and three!
The title of the standard is "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories," but ISO/IEC 17025 is much broader than that. Based on the standard, we address the entire chain in ensuring measurement quality.
Naturally, we base the course on the latest edition from 2018. In addition to the standard receiving a completely new structure, many changes were also introduced. This includes a greater focus on risk analyses, impartiality, decision rules, and also, for example, handling of purchases, LIMS, etc. During the review, we discuss both examples of application and the differences from the previous edition.
In addition to the requirements in ISO/IEC 17025, which we review "cover to cover," we also address the latest updates to regulations, EA documents, and guides, and make small deep dives into important, somewhat complex, and perhaps not entirely obvious topics. This includes, among other things, the calculation of measurement uncertainty. An important section is also internal quality control, as well as the new focus on risk analyses applicable in several areas.
Course documentation is available to you digitally.
After the course days, you should expect to have a good insight into the standard's expectations and a good understanding of how the requirements can be managed and the benefits of this.
We believe we can promise useful days that also provide some room for discussions via the web. During the previous physical courses in Borås, we received very good reviews. 'A lot of information,' 'Easy to absorb,' 'A wonderful course,' said participants after previous course sessions."
