MRC Automotive Corrosion

Automotive corrosion, mainly due to deicing salt on winter roads, is costly to our society, companies and private car owners. We at RISE therefore aim to find corrosion protection solutions to reduce these costs. With increasing electrification of vehicles, new materials must be explored to decrease vehicle weight and reduce the environmental impact. This increases the risk for bimetallic corrosion and brings new challenges for the whole automotive value chain.

Our vision

At our biannual meetings member companies get to discuss results from different projects. Members formulate based on common interests the future research projects to be carried out within the program.

International seminar in field of automotive corrosion

Every third year we arrange an International Seminar in the Field of Automotive Corrosion, a seminar on corrosion and corrosion testing within the automotive industry. The seminar attracts about 90 participants from all over the world.
