Purpose and Objectives
The project aims to strengthen safety, mental health, and resilience in Piteå by developing and implementing methods and approaches that promote collaboration, increase safety in the municipality, and improve citizens’ mental health and social well-being. The project focuses on collaboration between the municipality and residents, with an emphasis on social sustainability and resilience in residential areas.
Expected Effects and Outcomes
In the short term, the project aims to map and analyze the collaboration systems of Piteå Municipality and PiteBo, providing recommendations to enhance cooperation and inclusion. The project will result in an initial draft of an action plan for the municipality and the municipal housing company to further develop in the next phase. In the long term, the project seeks to increase the municipality’s and residents’ capacity to manage societal crises by creating safe and inclusive living environments that support mental health.
Planned Structure and Implementation
By examining a specific residential area in Piteå, the project will identify both weaknesses and opportunities in collaboration between stakeholders and residents. The feasibility study will result in an analysis and recommendations to strengthen inclusion and cooperation between the municipality and the municipal housing company.
