Purpose

Security often means protecting against something, and historically this has often meant various forms of mechanical protection such as a door, a lock or a vault. Over time, electronic products, such as alarms and surveillance cameras, have also been added. These developments, increased digitalisation, and the use of IoT products have led to more and new risks. Cybersecurity and protection against cyberattacks are now requirements for many products, as digital threats are not geographically limited but are constant. Product certification according to SPCR 177 contributes to increased security for both individuals and businesses.

Method

RISE certification rule SPCR 177 - Certification rules for Standards issued by Swedish Theft Prevention Association (SSF) covers SSF standards and certification requirements for many different types of products in the security field. 

RISE Certification is an approved certification body by the SSF Theft Prevention Association. Certification means that the product's properties are verified by an independent party according to SPCR 177, with a customised evaluation plan. RISE offers certification, testing and auditing for all SSF standards.
