AI ETHICS
Kristina currently does research on AI ethics and AI use, since 2021. She also holds talks, lectures and workshops on Generative AI and Large Language Models, such as Chat-GPT: contemporary and future outlook on AI in business, the creative industries and society as a whole. There are opportunities and the potential for improving development, but also concerns and questions about ethics, democracy, and privacy.
FOCUS AREA MANAGER THE CONNECTED INDIVIDUAL
The area focuses on how individuals and citizens relate to digitalisation, and concerns personalisation, privacy, data protection, digital ethics and high risk labs. The area belongs to Affärs och innovationsområdet Digitalisation.
RESEARCH
Kristina is a researcher in the areas user centered and interaction design, digital ethics, privacy, cyber security and data visualisation. She co-developed the RISE Center for Digital Ethics from the start. She has been involved in projects around digital twins, media tech, data literacy, nudging, gamification and big data. She is passionate about open source, shared data and transformative works.
BACKGROUND
She has an MSc in media technology, visualization and engineering, and has also worked as an interaction design researcher at the University of Gothenburg. In her work at university and industry, she focused on the design and use of decision support, both from a data and data analysis viewpoint, but also how task motivation and understanding can be supported by nudging and gamification. She has also designed and taught courses in data visualisation, UX and data journalism.
