Networking and study visits during the last member meeting of the year

Twice a year, RISE Processum AB invites its member companies and other partners to an afternoon filled with networking and exciting presentations.
On 29 November, RISE Processum AB opened its doors to its member companies and other partners. On this particular day, it was extra fun to welcome everyone to the newly renovated premises. The study visit to RISE's new pilot hall was also a popular feature this afternoon. At 13:00, Processum's CEO Karin Johnson opened the meeting and welcomed all participants. It was an intensive agenda filled with pitches, presentations and workshops.
"It is extremely valuable and inspiring to bring our companies together at the same time and hear more about technical solutions and how we can work together to find and develop new circular bio-based processes and products," says Karin Johnson, CEO of RISE Processum AB.
The new pilot hall attracted
During the afternoon, this year's Forest Business Accelerator companies were present and gave intensive pitches of their forestry innovations - Bright Day Graphene, Zigrid, Diri Safety Solutions, Original Creation and Flox. A great opportunity for start-ups to network with large and established companies.
The highlight of the members' meeting may have been the study visit to RISE's new pilot hall being built in Örnsköldsvik. The pilot hall, which is expected to be completed in 2024, is part of the Bioeconomy Arena, a national powerhouse for the industrialisation and commercialisation of the bioeconomy's new technologies, products and services, and will provide an important link between innovation and the finished product.
-The new pilot hall will be the heart of the RISE research and innovation arena in biorefinery. Here we will bring together scientific excellence, state-of-the-art technology, upscaling and entrepreneurs to increase the pace of transition to a bioeconomy. With a larger infrastructure, we also see increased opportunities for cooperation with our member companies, start-ups and other large companies that provide increased opportunities to realise many good ideas," says Karin.
