Efi Papatheocharous is a senior researcher in software engineering and systems for Mobility and Systems and is based at the former research Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) in Kista, Stockholm. Her research focus is on improving developer productivity and increasing software quality. During her tenure of the ERCIM “Alain Bensoussan” Fellowship Programme her research focused on Software Ecosystems for Federated Embedded Systems and Human Factors in software engineering (covering agile method, personalisation and user modeling). As one of the senior researchers of the institute she is carrying out research projects, strategic planning, proposal writing (i.e., submitted to the European Commission (EC), Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova) and other agencies), conducting basic research, paper writing and attending research/technology conferences and events for dissemination. Her recent areas of interest include cloud/IoT/automotive security, software and systems architecture decision-making and agile methods in software engineering. She has an extensive background of research in the areas of project management, requirements engineering, software metrics and software cost estimation, and has carried out empirical and computational intelligence (machine learning) studies.
