Iraklis Symeonidis is a senior research scientist at RISE, located in Stockholm.
He holds a Ph.D. from COSIC of KU Leuven. He was a post-doc at KU Leuven, the University of Luxembourg, and KTH.
His expertise and interest are in threat analysis (MSc) and designing cyber-resilient and privacy-preserving systems for real-world applications (Ph.D.):
- cyber-secure system and threat analysis,
- secure architectures and networking,
- applied cryptography,
- data governance and privacy-preserving systems,
- decentralized systems and smart contracts.
That is essentially assisting Sweden's efforts on research and innovation, moving towards the digitalization of industrial systems. As use cases, he has been working on scientific and industrial projects, including smart cities, manufacturing, supply chain systems, and automotive.
