Jenny’s main areas are innovation, sustainability, sustainability in cities, energy systems and district heating. At RISE, Jenny work as a project manager and researcher at the unit Industrial Conversion but also as a Sustainability auditor for the whole company. Her main interests for the moment are how cities and countryside can be sustainable built and future energy solutions. Having 20 years of experience from the energy sector, she has a deep knowledge and understanding of the energy industry, the development of society and the ability to connect this knowledge to companies and organizations' strategic development. Jenny quickly gets an overview and love to think in new ways. She is driven by working with complex issues and to deliver high quality. She has experience in project management, management issues, business development and partnerships, both regionally and internationally.
Jenny graduated from Mälardalen University in 2006 with the PhD thesis “Rapid Measurements of the Moisture Content in Biofuel” and holds a master's degree in energy technology. Since then she has, among other things, a past as a strategist in the staff of the Technical Office in the city of Västerås and in the CEO's staff at Eskilstuna Energi and Miljö where she was responsible for the research and led many interdisciplinary research projects. She has worked on development issues related to cogeneration, district heating, energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric vehicles, laws and regulations and sustainable urban development, but also questions about electromagnetic waves and multivariate data analysis. As a strategist, Jenny has also participated in management groups and group forums.
After her dissertation, Jenny has produced around twenty articles and reports, led around 15 projects and been a supervisor for several doctoral students, degree projects and been mentor.
In addition to her employment, Jenny has held various expert assignments, such as evaluators within Secure Clean Energy at Horizon 2020 and participated in various steering groups and reference groups for several research centers and financiers. She has also had an adjunct lecturer at Mälardalen University.
