Business and societal transformation
Johanna Hallin is a driven change leader and transformation strategist with 25 years of experience in sustainable business development in all sectors – from Swedish authorities to global companies and multilateral organizations. The common challenge, which has been the focus of Johanna's work, is leadership, strategy and governance that considers the large amount of information and perspectives that we have access to today.
– Purpose, systems strategy, social intelligence, and transformation are abilities we need to build, both as individuals and as organizations, to navigate the times we live in.
This framework is also the theme of her latest book, which focuses on how cognitive empathy is a tool for executive decision-making in management teams and board rooms.
In her role at RISE, Johanna works to support societal transformation through large-scale collaborative projects and knowledge connections that activate RISE's expertise for Sweden's competitiveness. As part of the program management for Omställninglyftet (The Green Transition Leap), Johanna has focused on regional development, Sweden's business support system and sustainable transformation of both business and society. During a total of 18 months, RISE, together with Tillväxtverket (The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth) and the European Regional Development Fund, invested a total of SEK 150 million in Omställinglyftet – in coordination within the support system, to increase the value of and create practical, company-specific activities that can be applied by RISE's various experts. The investment is unique in Europe in its size and a part of fulfilling RISE's government mission linked to the transformation of society.
