Martin is a researcher at Applied Mechanics department, within RISE division Material and Produktion. Martin is also responsible for technology area Vibration and Shock.
Martin is a specialist in material fatigue, structural dynamics and vibration integrity/environmental engineering. and has vast experience from many years of work on product development for the vehicle industry.
Current research and development assignments involve environmental engineering regarding shock and vibration integrity of structures and electronics. Seismic qualification testing is performed on a large hydrodynamic shake table, primarily for equipment with high reliability requirements for nuclear power generation, telecommunication or electric power transmission. The laboratory owns ackreditation from SWEDAC for several earthquake vibration and general shock and vibration test methods, issued by IEC, IEEE and Telcordia.
Vibration testing with simulation of road-induced vehicle vibrations is also performed, on new vehicle components or transport gods and packaging, as well as various analysis task about vibration and reliability.
Martin owns a Licentiate degree (research) in Mathematical Statistics and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
