Nargish Parvin

I am Soil and Environmental Scientist and I work in sustainability issues of agriculture, food and bioenergy. I completed my PhD in 2017 in Agronomic Sciences and Biological Engineering from University of Liege in Belgium. My research interest involves environmental and economic sustainability under changing climate to preserve resources like healthy soil, clean air, water and biodiversity for our future generations.

There are a number of challenges involved in this delicate balance between conserving our ecosystem while assuring a high quality of life. However, environmental sustainability is not an impossible goal if we come together as individuals and businesses now by supporting and improving sustainable agriculture, buying from local producers, purchasing carbon offsets, supporting reforestation and other regenerative goals; using renewable energy alternatives; and reducing waste and pollution and by supporting sustainable initiatives.
