I am a chemical engineer specializing in concrete admixtures and cement concrete-based product formulation. I hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Pune University, India, as well as an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Concrete Admixtures from Tennessee Technological University in Tennessee, USA.
Following my studies, I gained experience as a Research Scientist in the Product Development group at The QUIKRETE Companies in Atlanta, USA. In 2019, I joined RISE as a researcher in the department of Infrastructure and Concrete Construction.
My research interests include various areas, including 3D printing of concrete, the development of sustainable concrete products and grouting technology, concrete admixtures, and the rheology and early age hydration properties of cementitious products.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in Swedish and European research projects and industrial commission work. These activities have focused on the research and development of sustainable and advanced construction products, such as high-conductivity geothermal grouts, fast-set tunnel mortars, dynamic injection of grouting, anchor bolt grout for wind turbine foundations, and bio-based form releasing agents. Currently, my primary focus lies in working on 3D printing of prefabricated concrete components and related projects.
