Per is associate professor in animal behaviour and welfare from the Swedish university of agricultural sciences and co-director of the knowledge center SustAinimal. He is working with engineers to develop technologies and sensors for animal production and performing different experiments on production animal, especially dairy cattle, with the aim of improving their welfare while at the same time improving or maintaining the revenue for the farmers. He has experience in working as a project leader in cross-functional project aiming at either answering a research question or developing and validating technical solutions. Furthermore, he has a deep interest in developing technical solutions that based on a solid statistical foundation can be used to automatically measure behaviour and health. This interest has resulted in extended experience in working together with engineers and developers with the goal of accomplishing a successful product.
