Sofia has a PhD degree in Building Services Engineering, a Master of Science in Industrial Management Engineering and 15 years of experience in R&D related to energy efficiency in non-residential buildings and demand flexibility. She received a Vinnmer and Marie Curie Fellowship to conduct her post-doc research at Lawrence Berkeley National lab, in US. In her present role she is leading RISE innovation area on sustainable viable neighborhoods. She is currently managing several research and innovation projects related to building automation and digitalization of the building operation.
