Contact Marie-LouiseOn November 12th, representatives from companies in the Västra Götaland region gathered at Ericsson's demo factory, Production for Future, to explore how additive manufacturing can enhance and streamline repair and maintenance in production. Through inspiring presentations, a guided tour of the demo factory, and an engaging workshop, participants gained new insights and practical tools to address future challenges.
The day began with coffee and sandwiches before Rikard Kjellberg from Svenska Westaflex took the stage to share practical examples of how 3D printing is used to create production equipment and tools. Christophe Lyphout, an additive manufacturing expert from RISE, expanded on the theme by presenting innovative methods for repairing metal components using 3D technology.
The participants also had the opportunity to experience future technology up close during a tour of the demo factory Production for Future. Among other things, the tour showcased how 3D printing and smart maintenance can be used to create more sustainable and efficient production flows.
After lunch and networking, the day continued with a presentation by Jonas Hedlund from Bomek, who shared the company’s journey toward integrating additive manufacturing into its operations. The seminar concluded with a workshop where participants engaged in group discussions to explore the possibilities and challenges of the technology. The day wrapped up with collective reflections on the next steps to promote more sustainable and innovative production. Exhibitors such as r.a.p.s., Add North, and Lostboyslabs were also present, showcasing their latest solutions in the field.
3D-Action 2.0 organizes a series of inspiring seminars for small and medium-sized businesses. You can find the current schedule on the project's website. Read more about it here.
