Introduction to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

RISE offers a half-day course that gives an introduction to LCA. After the course, you, as a participant, will have a fundamental understanding of LCA as a tool, its strengths and weaknesses, what to consider when commissioning an LCA, and how to best apply life cycle assessment and life cycle thinking in your business.

The course will include the following parts:

• Introduction to the life cycle perspective and the four phases of an LCA:
  • Goal and scope
  • Inventory
  • Impact assessment
  • Interpretation of results
• When LCA is an appropriate tool
• How LCA results can be communicated

Target Audience:

The course is open to anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of LCA.
