Our units of measurement - in step with the times?

Since ancient times, humans have measured different things and the units of measurement have been more or less regulated. A few years ago, it was time for the latest change, but why was it made and what does it mean today and in the future?

In this seminar, we will partly provide a background to today's measurement system, but above all give a motivation for and future perspectives on the definitions that today form the basis of our measurements, everyday as well as advanced.
