Stormwater and Cloudburst Coordinator (basic cours)
Do you work with stormwater and/or cloudburst issues and want to broaden your skills? By attending this course, you will get an introduction to key elements for a stormwater and cloudburst coordinator. You will learn about multifunctional blue-green solutions, stormwater pollution, laws and regulations, etc.

By taking the course, you will learn how to:
- Describe the role of a blue-green stormwater and cloudburst coordinator in relation to other parts of the management chain
- Describe ecosystem services linked to multifunctional systems
- Give an overview of the laws and regulations that regulate stormwater and cloudburst management
- Describe the parameters that need to be investigated in order to select appropriate stormwater and cloudburst management measures under different conditions
- Describe basic substrate and vegetation functions
- Give examples of how stormwater can be used as a resource
- Describe the pathway of stormwater from rainfall to the receiving water
Insight into pollutants in stormwater: source, type of pollutants, degree of pollution, understanding of treatment and retention process
The course is designed with both lectures and interactive elements such as group discussions and exercises.
Target group
The course is aimed at those who currently work with stormwater issues who see a need to broaden their knowledge to manage both the blue and green aspects of stormwater and cloudburst issues in projects. You have a background as a water engineer or landscape architect, for example, and see the value of integrating various technical areas. The course will be held in Swedish.
Details of the course
The basic course includes one day of face-to-face teaching.
The course instructors will support you pedagogically with broad expertise and knowledge throughout the course. You will also have access to a digital course platform where you can find course literature and additional material.

Diploma programme
We plan for this to be a diploma course, where you will become a certified stormwater and cloudburst coordinator after completing the basic course and one of the advanced courses.
The course is part of a course package. After completing the basic course, you are recommended that you take an advanced course. The advanced courses are still being developed within the research project.
