Corrosion protection

Corrosion or rust can be combated in many ways. The method of corrosion protection that is most appropriate in the individual case depends on factors such as the environment, application areas, service life requirements and more.

The following are the most common anti-corrosion measures:

  • Cathodic and anodic protection
  • Protective coatings, organic (eg paint coatings) or inorganic (eg metal coatings)
  • Corrosion inhibitors
  • Temporary corrosion protection
  • Change of environment, such as dehumidification, purification etc.
  • Change in the design of the structure

RISE has over 50 years of experience in research and development in corrosion protection and we work closely with industry in all of the above areas. We can help you with advice on corrosion protection and material selection to avoid corrosion damage.
