Formulation gives your product the right properties
Medicine, make-up and mayonnaise are formulated products used on a daily basis. A formulated product consists of a minimum of two, but often many more, ingredients selected, processed and combined in a specific manner to provide a product with the desired properties. Properties that differ from those of the individual ingredients alone. Formulation work creates new characteristics, such as increased efficiency or safer handling.
RISE has expertise in developing and devising sustainable formulated products. We can devise new formulations to optimise the effect of a key component or help clients with ingredient and process selection, with the aim of making the product more stable, efficient and environmentally friendly. Our expertise covers process development, product characterisation and upscaling of formulated products. RISE heads and participates in several collaborative projects with a focus on formulation development, including NextBioForm within pharmaceuticals and POPFREE within consumer goods.
