Contact MagnusOur environmental impact is significantly reduced when we replace products made from fossil resources with bio-based alternatives. In a bioeconomy, all products are made from renewable resources such as raw materials and byproducts from forestry or agriculture, and substances found in trees and plants can be used for many purposes other than just building houses and making paper. One example is nanocellulose, such as microfibrillar cellulose, MFC, and nanocrystalline cellulose, CNC, that RISE develops further in our test beds.
RISE works with climatesmart materials, fossil-free fuels and green chemicals – as well as system analysis, resource efficiency, trial services, service design, and new business models and policy issues. Cooperation, such as The Bioeconomy Research Programme, is a vital element in the transformation process. Our multiclient programme offers a unique business network with lively exchanges of challenging ideas. Working together will allow us to accelerate the transformation of industry for the new bioeconomy.
