Contact OlleDC4EU focuses on testing the interoperability and scalability of digital educational credentials and social security documents within the EU. The project explores the use of the European Digital Identity Wallet to ensure that citizens' educational and social data are secure and accessible across borders.
DC4EU is a project aimed at enhancing the interoperability and scalability of digital educational credentials and social security documents within the EU. At the heart of this initiative is the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW), which will enable the secure management of digital identities and qualifications across borders. By combining identity, electronic signatures, and educational and social security credentials in a single platform, DC4EU seeks to create a seamless and secure digital experience for citizens.
The project particularly focuses on exploring and applying digital solutions in the fields of education and social security. This includes the issuance of digital educational credentials and professional qualifications, as well as the management of important documents like the portable document A1 and the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). By testing these solutions in both national and cross-border contexts, DC4EU aims to provide valuable feedback to the European Commission for future improvements.
In summary, DC4EU will contribute to shaping a new digital paradigm for citizens in the areas of education and social security, fully in line with the EU's guidelines on identity and data protection. The project aims to promote a secure and accessible digital infrastructure that supports the digital transformation in Europe, while adhering to the European Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles.
