LignInnovation

The LignInnovation project develops LignoCity by focusing on digitization and internationalization of the offer. The project wishes to reach more idea bearers in bioeconomy, preferably with a lignin connection, in order to be able to support the ideas to grow and reach the market faster and in a resource-efficient way.

The project will find ideas and market LignoCity to attract idea bearers to the bioeconomy Värmland. By attracting international idea bearers to build pilot facilities in the region and get in touch with existing networks, the chance of getting them to establish themselves in the region increases and that collaborations with subcontractors in the Värmland Region increase. The ultimate goal and benefit is that more companies with attractive, sustainable ideas choose to build all or part of their business in the region. This contributes to more jobs and that these sustainable companies attract people to choose the region as a place to live, as exciting jobs and a comfortable living environment can be combined.

The project aims, based on an identified strong innovation case with a high TRL level (Technology Readiness Level) and high industrial relevance in sustainability, to identify obstacles and develop existing methodologies and opportunities (eg networks) so that the region's industrial strengths can be effectively made available. for the international research and innovation arena, with results in the form of a relevant increased speed for green conversion combined with strengthened national social and economic sustainability.

Goal

- Clearer and more successful attract both women and men in the national and international idea bearers who want to build pilots / demonstrations and focus on new technology and products for the bioeconomy of the future.

- The project ensures that the processes suit international actors in the early phase, before the establishment of a pilot / demonstration, further through subsequent phases such as the actual establishment incl. design, manufacture and installation as well as start-up, as well as subsequent operation and the hope that this will be commercialized.

- The project connects the region's entrepreneurship / industry to these new pilots / demonstrations. If necessary, industrial resource sharing can be made possible. Potentially add new bio-based raw materials / intermediates for businesses already established in the region.

- The project wants to contribute to bridging challenges that the region's SMEs and other companies face as the bioeconomy continues to develop in a post-covid-19 world.
