Contact AmandaIn order for citizens to be offered well-designed and sustainable public services, municipalities ability to develop and transform is fundamental. LOFT is a partnership where municipal managements together develop new knowledge, test processes and systems, get access to analyses of the surrounding world and participate in research.
With an increased need for knowledge, development and innovation to create a sustainable society, municipalities and regions face many challenges. In the development of the ability to lead, guide and conduct innovation and transformation work in the municipality, there is a continuous need to both increase knowledge and to understand and learn from what other actors and countries have already done and are doing in the area.
In LOFT, municipal management from different parts of Sweden participate to deepen their knowledge in managing and organizing development and transformation together. The participating municipal managements create an enriching partnership where they together form a growing competence network that accelerates and contributes to development. The partnership is run by researchers at RISE and Mälardalen University and consists of three main parts: research and innovation projects, analysis of the surrounding world and exchange of experience and knowledge, and specific initiatives aimed at individual partners. Through the partnership, municipal managements gain access to RISE’s wide competence in multiple areas, such as processes, transformation and innovation, technologies, future analysis, user-centric design, interaction, data analysis and open solutions based on standards.
In the municipal management partnership LOFT, we are strengthening the public sector’s ability to manage and organize development and transformation together.
