Scalable Integration and Modular Platform for Local Energy Management

The SIMPLE project optimizes energy supply from solar cells and wind power, creating a safer, more flexible, and cost-effective solution for small industries. This contributes to increased sustainability and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.

Purpose and Goals

The SIMPLE project aims to unite various actors in energy supply by using digital technology based on proven methods for building flexible IT systems, including those from the telecommunications industry. These methods make it easier to manage integrations and protect against cyber threats. By using this technology in our pilot projects, we can optimize how we use, produce, and store electricity from solar cells and wind power. The goal is to create a safer, more flexible, and cost-effective energy supply for small industries.

Expected Results and Effects

The expectation is that small industries and energy communities will be able to manage their energy needs more efficiently, contributing to increased sustainability and resilience. Additionally, the project will reduce dependence on fossil fuels and promote the use of renewable energy, which is crucial for achieving our Global Goals in Agenda 2030.

Planned Approach and Implementation

We will test our service in real environments to ensure it works as planned. The pilot projects include Tjauls farm on Gotland and Sitemax mobile sites in northern Sweden. These locations will serve as references and sources of inspiration for others.

Contribution to the Global Goals in Agenda 2030

The SIMPLE project optimizes local electricity production and storage to strengthen sustainable energy supply (Goal 7), reduce the load on the power grid and increase resilience during crises (Goal 11), and enable efficient resource use and sustainable operations (Goal 12).
