Calibration of electricity meters and reference electricity meters

Purpose

An electricity meter or energy meter measures electrical energy and is available as both single-phase and multi-phase.

The reference electricity meter is often called a power and/or energy measuring instrument of the highest accuracy class. These instruments are often used as a reference when calibrating and verifying power/energy measurement systems.

By calibrating your instruments and measurement systems with us, you get high quality measurements and minimize losses due to measurement errors. Regular calibration will also give you information about how stable the instrument measures over time.

Method

We generate the desired power levels and then compare the instrument's display with our reference equipment, which has measurement uncertainty levels well within 0.01 percent.

The calibration can be performed single-phase or three-phase, 3-wire or 4-wire connection regardless of power factor.

The calibration services are adapted to the regulations for energy measurement systems, STAFS 2022:9, and are directly adapted to the needs when checking measurement systems of categories 2–5.

Deliveries

We issue calibration certificates in Swedish or English. On our customer website for calibration, you can directly download the calibration certificate and get all the other information you need about the measuring devices.
