All resources in Fiber Optics at RISE are made available when needed. These resources include:

How do we work?

  • Design and material selection
    Collaborative development of glass types, cladding structures, coatings, and buffers — with guidance on what’s technically feasible and robust.
  • Preform processing and fiber drawing
    Three ISO 9001-certified, 17m tall, draw towers allow for precision prototyping, fast iterations, and full documentation.
  • Coating and post-processing
    We apply high-performance coatings in-house and support additional extruded buffer coatings where needed.
  • Testing and documentation
    Full traceability, test reports, and fiber characterization data — ready for your internal approval or customer documentation.
  • Pilot and small-series production
    Once proven, we scale your fiber up to volume deliveries ideal — for sensor and OEM applications.

Delivery time

Delivery time varies depending on the complexity of the fiber to be developed. It can range from one week to several months, typically a small project runs for 8 weeks.
