What are your impressions of your role so far?

“It's exciting to be joining an organisation with such a clear mission to contribute to social benefit as RISE has. It is also very rewarding and enjoyable to work with so many experts in sustainability-related areas. RISE has fantastic expertise that we benefit greatly from in our own sustainability work.”

What has RISE focused on in 2024?

“In 2024, we have intensified our preparations for sustainability reporting in accordance with the EU CSRD directive. We have also had our climate targets validated and approved by SBTi; an important step for our continued climate work. In addition, we have had a strong focus on employee issues, such as improved measurement and follow-up of commitment, work environment and participation.”

What areas do you want to develop in the future?

“In terms of strategic sustainability work, we will set operational sustainability-related goals, further develop our systematic approach and work together to achieve the goals. One example is the upcoming climate roadmap. Preparing for CSRD reporting and focusing on both negative and positive impacts means that RISE can clarify how we strive to create environmental and social benefits, while delivering in a responsible manner. As for many companies, this will certainly present us with certain challenges, but high expectations from the Board and management, and not least from customers, provide good conditions for a continued high pace of sustainability work, in collaboration with the entire organisation.”
