Design for Societal Transformation @DDW22

RISE, in collaboration with the TU/e has received the assignment to design and manage the Design Competence Centre for the EIT Culture & Creativity (d.centre|EU).
Within that framework, Ambra Trotto and Caroline Hummels are chairs of one of the Strategic Topic Group (STG) of the EIT Culture & Creativity, called Design for Societal Transformation. The first task of this STG is to draft, in collaboration with all relevant partners, the design agenda of the EIT C&C.

During the Dutch Design Week 2022, in a workshop that bore the name of the STG, "Design for Societal Transformation", we started off the works for the design agenda
This webinar took place on Monday October 24th. It started with a word of welcome by the president of the TU/e, Robert-Jan Smits, followed by an introduction to Design for Societal Transformation by Caroline Hummels and Ambra Trotto. Thereupon, Bernd Fesel, interim CEO of EIT Culture & Creativity, gave a keynote to explain the EIT C&C. His presentation was followed by three provocations and insights of internationally renowned thought leaders: Simona Rocchi, Ron Wakkary & Malgorzata Wröbel.

With provocations inspiring the audience, a two-day workshop was launched to kick off a first mapping assignment with a selection of partners coming from the EIT Culture & Creativity.

In this first gathering, we explored what elements would be useful in starting to map out what participating partners do, and how we can plan for what we can do together in the future.
We therefore aimed at creating a roadmap together.
