Bo Schenkman

Bo Schenkman, Ph.D. is a Senior Scientist at RISE (Digital System, Dep. Industrial Systems, User-centric Digitalization). He obtained his PhD in Psychology at Uppsala University in how blind people use echolocation. He has experience from R&D in computer and telecom companies. Bo has been appointed Associate Professor in Human Computer Interaction at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm and Associate Professor in Psychology at Stockholm University. Bo has been a Visiting Professor at National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and at Tel Aviv University in Israel. He was a Professeur Visiteur at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. For several years, he has been a Guest Researcher at the Department of Speech, Music and Hearing, KTH. He has presented his work in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and at conferences, and he has been an invited speaker at conferences. He was and is involved in standardization for SIS and ISO, and previously for ECMA. His research interests are human perception, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction and aesthetics.
