The jury's motivation for this year's award winner reads:
"Pierre Bellehed, Gunnar Hellichius and Tommy Nord Bårring have taken CEJN's future assembly from idea to reality. The goal has been to create flexibility in the assembly with the help of innovative material supply. Automated logistics have led to a reduction in material facades. Floor space has been saved by rebuilding the assembly stations to the most efficient design. The working environment has been improved by eliminating the need for forklifts and eliminating heavy lifting. The group's work has allowed the company to expand into a completely new market segment, with existing staff. The work of Pierre Bellehed, Gunnar Hellichius and Tommy Nord Bårring shows that global competitiveness can be created through automation and purposeful work. Their work is an example for Swedish industry."
The award winners have driven the transition project Next Generation CEJN Assembly and developed a completely new concept focused on automated logistics. CEJN's new assembly concept features an integrated logistics solution that has provided efficiency enabling continued growth in the company. The key to success is automation that offers more flexibility, which has laid the foundation for continued successful assembly.
