About NEB Academy

NEB (New European Bauhaus) Academy is a flagship initiative of the European Commission to raise skills in the architecture and construction sector towards increased sustainability and circularity.

Strong support for Europe's construction industry

In 2022, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced the NEB Academy as part of the New European Bauhaus and as part of the implementation of the European Green New Deal agenda and Europe's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050.

- I welcome the new European Bauhaus Academy Alliance, a powerhouse of 14 European partners, which is ready to launch its EU-wide education network. It will strongly support Europe's construction industry, address labour shortages and promote knowledge sharing, including on sustainable bio-based solutions, such as the circular use of wood and other innovative materials."

Open courses

RISE, which coordinates the development of education within NEB Academy in Sweden, is based on the New European Bauhaus values of sustainability, beauty and inclusion.

NEB Academy Sweden offers high-quality and open digital training to increase knowledge and lifelong learning in sustainable construction. The courses touch on topics such as sustainable and circular construction, the design process for a low climate footprint, design for health and well-being, and social sustainability and inclusion.
