PFAS in fast food materials

Find alternatives to PFAS (held in english)

Last year, in 2023, there was a regulatory proposal to ban the chemical group PFAS within the EU with certain exceptions. This will drastically increase the need to replace PFAS in goods, materials, chemical products and processes. But where are PFAS used and how can alternatives be found?

This webinar is aimed at:

  • Product developers
  • Purchasers
  • Work environment managers
  • Others who have the opportunity to influence what is purchased or used in their business.

PFAS is a chemical group that consists of over 10,000 substances, all industrially produced with the common property that they are very difficult to degrade. This means that they will remain in the environment for an extremely long time - if they end up there. Awareness that PFAS is a problematic group of chemicals has increased - not least because more and more PFAS are being discovered in the environment and in our bodies. In addition, more and more negative health effects have been seen, which has led to lower limit values in food and drinking water. It is very complicated and expensive to remedy once PFAS has reached the environment. It is significantly more resource efficient to remedy the use.
